A reflective runway steeped in house heritage and futuristic silhouettes.

In an industry known for rapid change, a decade-long tenure is rare. Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 collection is not only a showcase of new fashion but also a celebration of Nicolas Ghesquière’s 10 years at the helm. Held at the Cour Carrée du Louvre — where it all started — the show marked a full-circle moment for the designer and the brand.
Drawing inspiration from his past collections, Ghesquière paid homage to icons like the Petite Malle, while subtly honoring the Maison’s trunk-making and travel legacy. Yet despite the nods to the past, the collection felt as fresh and forward as ever.
Tiny Trunks, Classic Codes, and Modern Twists
That nostalgic energy flowed right into the accessories. Ghesquière resurrected house staples like the Alma and introduced updated variations like the Side Trunk and Go-14. Quilted textures reminiscent of vintage trunk interiors appeared throughout, particularly on the Petite Malle.

The collection was a playground of materials — Epi leather, Monogram canvas, metallics — offering something for traditionalists and collectors alike.

This season’s bags felt intimate and personal — reinterpretations of archival elements, seasoned with futuristic craftsmanship. From structured trunks to puffy leathers, the range was tactile and expressive.

Ghesquière’s milestone collection proved that even after a decade, innovation is still central to his creative language. The Fall 2024 lineup didn’t just honor history — it pushed the Maison into a bold future.
